Our care

Almost everythingstarts here.

A family practice handles about nine out of ten things a person will ever go to a doctor about. Below is what that actually covers, and what we send onward when it does not.

  • Everyday medicine
  • Children and teens
  • Ongoing conditions
  • Checks and screening
  • Prescriptions
  • Telehealth

Everyday medicine

Coughs that will not clear, ear and throat infections, urinary infections, rashes, sprains, minor wounds and the visits you book because something is simply not right.

Children and teens

Well-child visits from two weeks old, the full immunisation schedule, school and sports forms, and adolescent appointments where the parent waits outside if that helps.

Ongoing conditions

Blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, thyroid, asthma and cholesterol, reviewed on a schedule you agree to rather than one the software picked.

Checks and screening

Annual physicals, bloods drawn on site, cervical and bowel screening, and the age-based checks nobody remembers until someone tells them.

Prescriptions and refills

Routine renewals go to your pharmacy the same day if we have seen you in the last year. Medication reviews take a whole visit, and often shorten the list.

Women's health

Contraception, perimenopause, pregnancy care up to the obstetric handover, and appointments long enough to say the thing you nearly did not mention.

Telehealth

Some visits do notneed a waiting room.

Video appointments started in 2020 out of necessity and stayed out of usefulness. They suit follow-ups, medication reviews and most sick-day questions — and they are the same fifteen minutes with the same doctor.

  • Works well for follow-ups, rashes, refills and results you want explained.
  • First visits and annual physicals stay in person — an examination is not optional.

Before your first visit

Answers beforeyou even ask.

The practical stuff — insurance, paperwork, refills — answered the way our front desk would say it. Anything else, just call.

Most major plans — Aetna, Cigna, United and BlueCross among them. Bring your card to the first visit and we verify coverage while you're checking in. No plan? We have a flat self-pay rate for first visits, told to you up front.

A photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of any medication you take — a photo of the labels is fine. Switching from another practice? Sign one release form at the desk and we request your records for you.

Yes — follow-ups, medication reviews, rashes and most sick-day questions work well over video. First visits and annual physicals stay in person, because a doctor who has actually examined you gives better advice.

Message us through the patient portal or call the desk. If we've seen you in the last year, renewals usually go to your pharmacy the same day — no appointment needed for routine refills.

Life happens — give us 24 hours' notice and there's never a fee. Miss without notice and the first one is on us; after that a small fee applies, mostly so a waitlisted patient can take the slot.

  • No surprise billing — every cost is confirmed with you before any procedure.

If you are self-paying

The prices,before you ask.

Between plans, waiting on a new one, or simply not insured — these are the rates, and they are the same ones the front desk quotes on the phone.

  • Eighteen plans billed directly — bring the card and we verify at check-in.
  • Anything beyond a visit is quoted to you before it happens. No exceptions.
